PT CRIF Lembaga Informasi Keuangan (CLIK) Exceeds Forecasts Despite Challenges, Announces New Management and Strategic Collaborations

Jakarta, 21 June 2024 – PT CRIF Lembaga Informasi Keuangan (CLIK), a leading credit bureau, continues to strengthen its business operations by prioritizing operational efficiency, productivity, and client-centric excellence. Elevating the Credit Industry
In 2023 CLIK collaborated with other credit bureaus (PCBs) to raise awareness among stakeholders from both the private sector and the government. These efforts emphasized the critical role credit bureaus play in fostering a robust and well-functioning financial system. “While conventional banks and multi-finance companies still rely heavily on using pre-existing credit processes, which hinder the expansion of the credit industry, the fintech industry faced significant pressure on interest rate cuts and regulatory reform reforms needed to safely and sustainably further develop the sector. All this, coupled with the regulatory reform involving LPIP and ICS which had a huge impact on CLIK’s businesses on many levels,” said President Director CLIK Leonardo Lapalorcia, nonetheless he continues “2023 has marked an incredible year for CLIK!”.
Chief Revenue Officer CLIK Jan Louise Rudy Tjintjelaar says Indonesia PCB needs to make more strategic contributions in shaping an advanced credit industry. Financial and non-financial institutions are now looking for a solution to make the best-fit strategy for disbursing loans effectively while maintaining profitability as their priority. “Private credit bureaus provide these high-level services, so it is time for us to establish a thorough roadmap, which will be announced soon. Hopefully, our clients will discover new strategies to reduce NPL risks, gain access to new markets, and use our innovative credit scoring as a vessel to improve their productivity,” said Mr. Jan.
Exceeding Expectations
Despite facing numerous challenges, CLIK’s performance in the past year surpassed all forecasts. “By focusing on strengthening our organizational structure and competencies and constant attention to productivity by 2023, we managed to secure a gross margin of around 30%,” added Leonardo. Furthermore, CLIK experienced a remarkable increase in client enquiries (over 200%) and successfully acquired 52 new clients in 2023, demonstrating the trust clients place in the quality of CLIK’s services.
Cutting-Edge Services and Products
CLIK introduced several groundbreaking services and products last year:
- Consumer Enquiry – API: A rapid-response product catering to the needs of lenders, including LPIP and other customers.
- CLIK Dashboard: An information management tool that provides seamless and real-time access to the most comprehensive and up-to-date data on the Indonesian Credit Market. This interactive web-based solution empowers industry leaders, executives, researchers, and government officials with the tools they need to navigate and understand the intricate dynamics of the industry.
- CLIK Spectrum: Utilizing telco scores, this product benefits customers with medium-risk profiles. Banks can increase loan approval rates by 10% without affecting NPL levels, moving medium-risk customers to low-risk segments.
New Leadership for Greater Productivity
CLIK’s revamped management structure aims to drive productivity and strategic collaborations. “Having experts with a strong network and proven records will help CLIK drive greater productivity and unlock the potential of this industry. Since early to mid-2024, CLIK has shown positive growth in client acquisition. On the other hand, we are looking forward to forging more strategic collaborations with broader stakeholders,” said Leonardo.
